From the Wafa News Agency: On Wednesday, Israeli forces today detained at least 12 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, said witnesses and security sources.

Witnesses confirmed that Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians during multiple overnight raids across the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem.

Four Palestinians were rounded up from Kafr al-Labad village, another from Anabta town, another from al-Ras village, another from Kafr Abbush village and another from Nur Shams refugee camp.

In Nablus district, local sources confirmed that Israeli military vehicles raided Beita town, south of Nablus, where soldiers rounded up a former prisoner.

In the southern West Bank, security sources confirmed an Israeli military raid in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem city, resulting in the detention of two Palestinians.

In Hebron district, a Palestinian was rounded up from the vicinity of Bab Az-Zawiya in Hebron city.

Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
